ABOUT ME

One of my passions is reptile biology, and that’s why my current research is focused on aspects of the thermal ecology, behaviour and physiology of a group of lizards that inhabit the tropical Andes of Ecuador. As a Latin American scientist, I'm concerned about the lack of interest that society has with its natural and cultural environment. However, I'm also aware of the lack of communication that exists between the academic community and the local community.

I consider art is a powerful tool to act against the lack of scientific communication and a valuable ally in the conservation of nature. Therefore, to enhance my profession as a scientist, I am an amateur muralist and illustrator who aims to bring wildlife closer to people.
